What is the keto diet?
While many may think the keto diet as a high protein diet, the keto diet actually instructs followers to eat mostly fat.
The diet consists of 60 per cent fat, 35 per cent protein and five per cent carbohydrates.
This is supposed to put the body into a state of ketogenis, when it converts fat and fatty acid into fuel.

What is a high protein diet?
These diets encourage followers to eat mostly protein, and include diets like the Dukan diet.
Eating more protein has been shown to make diets eat 441 fewer calories a day, and reduce thoughts about food by 60 per cent.
So which diet is the best? One study pitted both diets against one another.
Obese subject were split into two groups and one group had high fat and the other high protein, pitted both diets against one another
After 16 weeks both groups lost the same amount, dropping about 10 per cent of their weight. However, the high protein group reported feeling less hunger than the high fat group.
It is important to note that you should check with your doctor before committing to any drastic diet.
